WP1: CAPPADOCIA multidimensional methodological approach and strategic recommendations reporting

Overview and main objectives

Work Package 1 (WP1 hereafter) predominantly aims both at the definition and implementation through the publication of a yearly strategic recommendations report, of the proposed overall multidimensional methodological approach of the CAPPADOCIA project to cover both the state of the art of research and innovation and the impact assessment of CAPPADOCIA targeted research areas and EC-funded projects.

This includes the preparation of all the associated tools (personalized CAPPADOCIA grid templates) to compile all the collected data and information (WP1, WP2 and WP3) as well as to enable the implementation of the CAPPADOCIA dedicated Information System (WP4) to manage and disseminate the action outcomes. CAPPADOCIA will build its own methodological approach taking into account past similar initiatives funded by the EC. Thus, a benchmark of past projects such as MEFISTO, OPTI and AGAPE will previously be carried out to identify best practices and lessons learnt to be implemented throughout the CAPPADOCIA innovative concept.

To set up its methodology, CAPPADOCIA will also previously require to identify the most relevant EC-funded projects as well as to review ACARE objectives and solutions towards progress in CAPPADOCIA cost-efficiency targeted research topics (Production, Design system and tools, Avionics).

Related Activities

Task 1: CAPPADOCIA Advisory Boards Composition

The foremost objective of this task is to identify, select, integrate and distribute the Advisory Board Members according to the CAPPADOCIA cost-efficiency targeted research topics (Design systems and tools, Production, Avionics). Advisory Boards members, although not members of the consortium, will be consulted at every decisive step of the project implementation. Their main aim will be to review and validate strategic recommendations and yearly reports as well as to get informed about the produced outcome.

Task 2: CAPPADOCIA list of relevant EC-funded projects to be considered per targeted research topics

Based on the CAPPADOCIA partners’ knowledge and EC public materials a list of EC-funded projects and other relevant main projects (European and national funding projects) according to the CAPPADOCIA cost-efficiency targeted research topics (Production, Design system and tools, Avionics) will be drafted.

Task 3: CAPPADOCIA list of ACARE and other relevant initiatives, objectives and solutions to be considered as reference per targeted research topics

CAPPADOCIA partners will carry out an extensive bibliographical study of relevant cost efficiency materials including of course ACARE documents such as SRIA and Vision 2020.

Task 4: CAPPADOCIA multidimentional methodological grid definition

The CAPPADOCIA overall multidimentional state-of-the-art and impact assessment methodological grid definition per cost efficiency targeted research topics will be built first by taking into account past similar initiatives funded by the EC (e.g. MEFISTO, OPTI, AGAPE). The CAPPADOCIA proposed overall methodological approach will be formalized in a personalized grid template to be implemented accordingly throughout the WP2 and WP3 activities.

Task 5: Compilation of strategic recommendations and edition of a common strategic report

The yearly reports carried out within WP2 and WP3 will be analysed, reviews and compiled into one common document to be provided to the European Commission as the CAPPADOCIA yearly strategic recommendations report.
