Company Profile

The European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) is the Association of the European Academia active in Aeronautics research. Its main objective is to support the development of new knowledge, innovation and breakthrough technologies through fundamental research in Aeronautics. Through its currently registered members, EASN connects to more than 10.000 academic staff throughout Europe. Furthermore, EASN has agreements with industrial and SME organizations for the dissemination of knowledge and research related information. Finally, it represents Academia in ACARE and other EU forums and committees.

The strategic partnerships of EASN as well as the wide spread of its members allow EASN to disseminate Aeronautics related information to practically the whole Aeronautics community. In this context it should be stressed that the EASN members include, inter alia, several academic experts in domains related to cost efficiency. Their views and opinions will arguably be of added value to the CAPPADOCIA project.

EASN Association is contractually linked to EASN Technology Innovation Services BVBA (EASN-TIS), which is responsible for undertaking the EASN Association’s tasks in the frame of research projects; including project management and administration. Namely, EASN-TIS has participated and currently participates in a plethora of FP6 and FP7 projects, in the majority of which has the role of the dissemination manager. Therefore, EASN-TIS is able to provide first-hand information for the results of the projects to be used for the assessment. Finally, with respect to the projects in which EASN does not participate, the vast plurality of them includes EASN members in their consortia; hence providing contact points from each project to assist in the gathering of the projects results.
