Overview and main objectives
Work Package 3 (WP3 hereafter) will carry out the impact assessment campaigns of EC-funded projects towards ACARE goals and solutions achievements. Based on their respective results, WP2 and WP3 will formulate individual strategic recommendations reports aimed towards policy makers, including the European Commission, to possibly improve cost efficiency and competitiveness in the Aeronautics and Air transport sector. Those yearly reports will be commonly analyzed, reviewed and compiled (WP1) in to a unique yearly CAPPADOCIA strategic recommendations report. This document will have of course previously taken into consideration the overall CAPPADOCIA methodological approach but also its Advisory boards’ expected contribution (including other CSAs-funded within the same call) to ensure its full representativeness of the Aeronautics and Air transport sector.
Impact assessment of relevant projects with respect to their contribution towards ACARE goals and solutions, as well as of other relevant initiatives (set by the European Commission and others) will be implemented according to the CAPPADOCIA integrated approach. Thus, EC-funded projects will be assessed (per targeted research topics and aircraft type) taking into account both benefits and costs associated while also covering all significant economic, social and environmental impacts of interest.
Task 2: Formulation of strategic recommendations to progress towards ACARE goals and solutions achievements
To contribute to the progress towards the ACARE goals and solutions achievements in the area of cost efficiency for the Aeronautics and Air transport community, CAPPADOCIA will formulate strategic recommendations, validated by its Advisory Boards, to be later on compiled into a common reader friendly brochure presenting CAPPADOCIA overall achievements.
